ANNOUNCEMENTS

September 1st, 2024

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the 46th Symposium on Nuclear Physics, to be held at the Hacienda Cocoyoc (Cocoyoc, Morelos, México), January 6th-9th, 2025.

This yearly event constitutes a forum for interaction and exchange of ideas among physicists working in areas as nuclear structure and reactions, (relativistic) heavy ions, subnuclear physics, radioactive beams, nuclear astrophysics, applied nuclear physics, neutron physics and nuclear instrumentation.

The meeting consists of a series of topical sessions with invited talks focusing in the areas mentioned above. In addition, there will be a poster session normally dedicated to show the research work of the youngest. The attendance is kept small, with a maximum of about fifty people.

There is a 8,500 MXN conference fee, which includes round trip transportation Mexico City - Cocoyoc (about an hour and a half road trip), all meals during the meeting and the Proceedings Symposium publication. Funding is available to promote the attendance of students affiliated to Mexican Universities and Research Institutes, however due to budgetary constraints, there are no funds available to support travel, lodging or registration fee of other participants.

Please inform to Daniel José Marín-Lámbarri dmarin@fisica.unam.mx, Roelof Bijker bijker@nucleares.unam.mx or Tochtli Yépez Martínez tochesrabbit@gmail.com about your participation and, if you intend to have, about your contribution to this event (posters and invited talks).

Please forward this announcement to any of your colleagues who might be interested in attending the meeting.

With best regards,

The local organizing committee
